Hippo 4" x 4"

After Christmas and G's Birthday, he has two new mini's up on the wall. The collection is now at 8 paintings. I'm glad I started this tradition, they're fun and fast paintings to do and it's fun to watch the collection grow. Also, I don't think I'll ever run out of African animals to paint. Especially with the number of pictures we've taken (and continue to take) on our zoo safaris. The above was the Christmas present and the below was for the birthday.

Sketchbook Project 2

Pages 34-35

So I fell way behind my original schedule for the Sketchbook Project and, of course, didn't manage to finish on time. Since the whole book is a sort of narrative I've decided to keep it and continue work on it and send it in when it is finished. It likely won't make it on tour, but at least it will make sense to whoever does get their hands on it.
